With two enigmatic singles already to his name in 2023, Dutch multi-disciplinary artist Coloray builds on a wave of momentum with the charismatic single ‘Buy Me’, which is set for release 19th July.. Never afraid of tackling complex issues in his songwriting, Coloray this time highlights the balancing act that artists face between embracing your dreams and creating a sellable product. It’s a release that showcases his personality, with a tongue in cheek approach to a serious project - particularly with the rise of social media, where the artist now acts as an advertisement product as well. Sonically, just like its predecessors ‘Branded Content’ and ‘Try Again’, the track merges the artist's love for synth-pop with the blistering energy of his live shows.

The release of ‘Buy Me’ coincides with the announcement of Coloray’s Sophomore album © (copyright sign) which is set for release 22nd September. Driven by an urge to step out of his comfort zone, it’s a project that’s his most diverse to date which shines a light on his far-reaching talents as a producer and vocalist. It comes fresh off the back of the collaborative track ‘Final Dance’ alongside Terr which just released on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy imprint.

‘Buy Me’ is the perfect prelude for what listeners can expect on the album. Having made his name in the electronic music world, he’s driven by an urge to make people move and offer an escape to either those listening at home or at his live shows. However, with this longer project, Coloray is eager to connect with his listeners on a personal level and through songwriting he can do exactly that. ‘Buy Me’ displays the artist's introspective and transparent nature, whilst his last single ‘Try Again’ saw a more empowering side, which told a tale of overcoming self-doubt. These subjects are relatable and offer only a glimpse of what's to come in September.

Over the last year Coloray has released numerous singles on DGTL Records, Atomnation, and Intercept, as well as collaborating with Massimiliano Pagliara and Fort Romeau on ‘Reset’. He also debuted an explosive, mind-bending A/V live show at DGTL Amsterdam in April which took thousands of ravers on a psychedelic trip. With each project his artistry elevates and a loyal fan base continues to grow. With an album on the way and a live tour across Europe, 2023 is lining up to be the year where Coloray cements his vision of becoming the genre-bending artist of the future.
